tossed stone or a frozen puddle beginning to melt in the
morning winter sun.
My technique is a mixture of transparent application and thick
impasto brushstroke on panel and linen. I tend to work in two
extremes: very small or very large format.
Polymer Clay
Polymer clay is a relatively new medium for me that allows me
to experiment and work in 3 dimensions. I am drawn to the
medium for it’s endless flexibility and complex color and texture
possibilities. Currently I am making wearable broaches and
boxes using transferred images and imitative surface.
Oils
I have been working in oil for more than 20 years and I never tire of the rich complex colors and
creaming consistency of the paint. Living in a rural coastal community it would be hard not to paint
what surrounds you everyday. I want to preserve the aspects of landscape that are temporary, fragile or

Artistic Accomplishments
In 2005 I was invited by special invitation to be apart of the 2005 Biennale Internazionale dell’Arte
Contemporanea Città di Firenze – Italia. This is an international show in Florence Italy held in the
Fortezza de Basso in collaboration with the UnitedNations, the Biennale is also an official participant
in the “Dialogue among Civilizations” program.
Artists from all over the world are invited or juried in by merit. In collaboration with the United
Nations, the Biennale is also an official participant in the “Dialogue among Civilizations” program.
