I've loved nature and art all my life and have worked with
various mediums through the years. I especially enjoy photo-
graphing wildlife and finding beauty in common scenes. What
I like most about photography is the way it increases my
appreciation and awareness of the natural world around me.
Working with my photographic images to create fine digital
artistry allows me to celebrate the essence of the original
image(s) as I express and superimpose upon it my aesthetic and
emotional reactions to it.
Although I am primarily self-taught, I have studied under and
assisted National Geographic Photographer Ralph Lee Hopkins
and world renowned color landscape photographer and environmental activist Robert Glenn Ketchum.
Prior to becoming a full time artist I worked with emotionally disturbed children, taught university
under graduate business and writing classes and owned a graphic design/website design business.
